■ "CopyKnights"って何？ (What is "CopyKnights" ?)
「CopyKnights」は、Mac OS X 10.6(Intel)以降で動作するコピーユーティリティアプリです。
コピーユーティリティですが、簡易なバックアップツールとしても活用いただけます。
大掛かりなシステムバックアップソフトのような、システム全体を保護することを目的としたバックアップツール
ではなく、簡易なデータ保護を目的として手軽に扱えることを目標として開発致しました。
"Copy Knights" is a copy utility application for Mac OS x 10.6(Intel) or later version.
Although it is a copy utility application, it can also be utilized as a simple back-up tool.
In fact, it was developed as a simple backup tool for easy data protection, instead of a
large-scale system backup software that protects the entire system.
■ シンプルなデザインと操作性 (Simple design and ease of use)
シンプルなユーザーインターフェイスデザインにより軽易にバックアップスケジュールの設定をする事ができます。
シンプルデザインにより直感で操作できるように配慮しました。

The simple design was taken into consideration to allow intuitive operation.
■ 複数のスケジュール管理 (Managing multiple schedules)
一台のMacを共同使用している場合や、大量のデータをバックアップしたいけど負荷が気になる場合などには、
スケジュールを分けて設定すると便利ですし、負荷を分散させることもできます。
Assigning separate schedules and dispersing the burden is a convenient function for times
when a Mac is being shared by multiple users, or for people who are worried about the processing
burden on the CPU while making backups of large data.
■ 複数のバックアップ元・バックアップ先の指定 (Assigning multiple backup sources and destinations)
バックアップ元はもとより、バックアップ先も複数選択できます。
一つのスケジュールでも複数のバックアップ先を選択することにより、よりいっそうの安心を得ることができます。
It allows you to choose not just multiple backup sources, but also backup destinations.
Choosing multiple backup destination folders for a single schedule gives you better reassurance.
■ 除外フィルタ・対象フィルタの設定 (Setting exclusion filter and inclusion filter)
対象フィルタを設定することにより、バックアップ元データをさらに絞り込んでバックアップすることが
可能です。また、除外フィルタを設定することにより、余計なデータを省略してバックアップすることが可能です。
Setting inclusion filter enables backup of only the specified data from the backup source.
Furthermore, setting exclusion filter allows backup of data excluding the unwanted ones.
■ コピー速度の調整による負荷コントロール (Controlling burden through adjustment of copy speed)
コピー速度を設定することによりMacに掛かる負荷をコントロールできます。バックアップ時間が始まるとMacの
動作が急に重くなります。しかし、どうしてもMacを使用しなければならない、という状況でもコピー速度を調整する
ことにより、Macに掛かる負荷を調整できるので、バックアップしながらでも通常にMacを使用できます。
You can control the burden on Mac by setting the copy speed.
The system slows dramatically when backup starts. However when you need to use the Mac at the
same time, you can do so by adjusting the copy speed and lightening the burden on the computer.
■ リアルタイムな進捗状況の表示 (A realtime progress indicator)
バックアップが開始すると、リアルタイムで進捗状況を確認できます。現在処理中の内容及びコピーエラーによって
コピーが出来なかったファイル名がリアルタイムに確認できます。
After initializing the backup, you can monitor its progress in real time.
You can check what files are currently being backed up, in addition to the file names of those items
that were unable to be copied due to errors.
